The Central Puja Committee (CPC) of Meghalaya issued a condemnation today regarding the vandalisation of idols of the Goddess Kali yesterday.
The idols were found to have been desecrated at the Marwari Smshan Bhhoomi cremation ground in Mawbah on the night of January 2.
The CPC today met with the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills regarding the crime and urged her to bring the culprits to book.
The DC reportedly reassured the CPC delegation that she will initiate action in coordination with the police.
