Just 35 hospital beds reserved for Covid-19 patients in Meghalaya are now occupied, which is just 3 per cent of capacity.
Thirty-three of the occupied beds are in East Khasi Hills, with just two in the other districts – one in Mairang (Eastern West Khasi Hills) and one in Tura (West Garo Hills).
According to government data, 35 out of 1,084 Covid beds are occupied in the state, which works out to 3.23 per cent, the lowest this figure has been in months.
NEIGRIHMS has 12 Covid beds occupied, the only hospital in double digits. Even Shillong Civil Hospital, once the epicentre of the fight in East Khasi Hills, has zero coronavirus patients admitted.
