There were 44 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Meghalaya today, along with 21 recoveries and no fatalities.
East Khasi Hills recorded 32 new cases, with 12 between the other 10 districts.
East Khasi Hills also accounted for 14 recoveries and there were seven between the other 10 districts.
There are now 296 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 215 active cases, West Garo Hills 25, West Khasi Hills 21, Ri-Bhoi 15, East Garo Hills eight, West Jaintia Hills five, East Jaiñtia Hills four, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills one, South West Khasi Hills one and North Garo Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 84,006 Covid-19 cases, of which 296 are active, 82,248 have recovered and 1,462 have died from the virus.
