Fewer than 100 hospital beds reserved for Covid-19 patients in Meghalaya are now occupied, with absolutely zero being occupied in any of the five districts of Garo Hills.
According to government data, 93 out of 1,084 Covid beds are occupied in the state, which works out to 8.58 percent, the lowest this figure has been since the second wave took hold.
Those districts without any Covid patients in hospitals are West Garo Hills, North Garo Hills, East Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills and South West Khasi Hills.
Meanwhile, Covid vaccination rates touched a high this month, with 9,143 people getting a jab today.
