There were 112 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Meghalaya today, along with 164 recoveries and one fatality.
The death was in Ri-Bhoi, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills recorded 63 new cases today, West Khasi Hills 34, West Jaiñtia Hills 10 and five between the other eight districts.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 73 recoveries, West Khasi Hills 60, West Jaiñtia Hills 17, Ri-Bhoi 10 and four between the other seven districts.
There are now 1,494 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 839 active cases, West Khasi Hills 320, West Jaiñtia Hills 167, Ri-Bhoi 88, South West Khasi Hills 24, West Garo Hills 24, East Jaiñtia Hills 16, East Garo Hills six, South West Garo Hills five, North Garo Hills four and South Garo Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 81,859 Covid-19 cases, of which 1,494 are active, 78,957 have recovered and 1,408 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 96.45 percent. The fatality is 1.72 percent. The seven-day rolling average for new cases is 137.43 and for new deaths is 1.86.
