As many as 125 employees of NEIGRIHMS, including doctors, nurses, ward attendants and other hospital staff, have either tested positive or are under quarantine due to Covid-19 infections.
This was informed by NEIGRIHMS spokesman Dr Cornerstone Wann today.
The premier teaching hospital had lost a nurse, Badaphun Rapsang, to the disease only two days ago.
Dr Wann said that the NEIGRIHMS administration has taken adequate steps to deliver appropriate patient care for all Covid-positive cases and other routine and emergency cases at the hospital.
“NEIGRIHMS will continue its patient care and OPD (outpatient department) services for the benefit of all North East people during these difficult times,” he said.
The spokesman also appealed to the public, especially NEIGRIHMS employees, to follow Covid appropriate behaviour in the hospital, at public places and at home.
