A total of 39 people received a dose of the Covid-19 vaccination in South West Khasi Hills today, out of which 23 were vaccinated in Mawkyrwat and 16 in Ranikor.
Deputy Commissioner Caramai Kharkongor, who received the second dose of the vaccine today, expressed happiness that she is protected and appealed to the people of the district not to believe in rumours against the vaccine.
She sought to reassure the people of the district that the Covid jab is like any other vaccination given to prevent disease.
