Four police personnel and a fireman from Meghalaya have been awarded with prestigious awards on the occasion of Republic Day, it was announced today.
The President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service has been awarded to Constable Timenson K Marak of the 1st Meghalaya Police Battalion, Mawiong. Three personnel were also awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service – Assistant Commandant Digreathson G Momin of 2nd MLP Bn, Goeragre; Inspector Madalu Ram of 4th MLP Bn, Sohpian, Nongstoiñ; and Assistant Sub-Inspector Cliffhilberth B Sangma of 5th MLP Bn, Samgong, Williamnagar.
Meanwhile, the Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service was awarded to Leading Fireman Wanlambok Lapang of the Fire and Emergency Service.
