A further three new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Meghalaya today. There were also 18 recoveries and no new fatalities.
All the new infections were reported in East Khasi Hills – one each in Lumparing, Nongrim Hills and Mawprem.
Fourteen recoveries were located among residents of West Jaiñtia Hills, two in East Khasi Hills and two in East Jaiñtia Hills.
In all, Meghalaya has had 13,710 Covid-19 cases, of which 133 are active, 13,433 have recovered and 144 have died from the virus. The recovery rate has increased to 97.98 per cent. The fatality rate is 1.05 per cent.
The Health Department also informed that around 1,250 Covid tests were carried out in the last 24 hours.
