The West Jaiñtia Hills Deputy Commissioner in an order issued has granted permission to the President Sarbamangala Kali Mandir Durga Puja Committee at Dawki, Jowai and Daloi of Nartiang to celebrate Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja and Kali Puja on October 22 to October 26, October 30 and November 14 at Sarbamangala Kali Mandir, Dawki opposite PWD inspection Bungalow, at Shiv Mandir Premises, Jowai and at Nartiang.
However, the Deputy Commissioner has directed all devotees to maintain the Standard Operating Procedures as per Government order and to avoid visiting other Puja Pandals.
Further, he has restricted the public from burning and using firecrackers or firework in public places, paths and roads during Lakshmi Puja and Diwali especially those High sound velocity crackers of firework burning of firecrackers will be allowed only till 5 pm.
