Mawkyrwat, Sep 2: One person died in a road accident at Kyllai Myrsiang under Jakrem village in South West Khasi Hills on Wednesday morning.
According to police, information was received at around 10 am that Plidor Iawphniaw, a resident of Mawrap village, met with an accident while driving vehicle bearing registration number ML06 A 3406 at Kyllai Myrsiang. He succumbed to his injuries.
Family members and relatives stated that the death was purely accidental and they did not suspect any foul play.
A UD case has been registered at Mawkyrwat Police Station and further enquiry is ongoing.
