Nongpoh, Sep1: The Regional Institute of Advanced Studies (RIAS), Nongpoh, on Sunday organised a certificate distribution programme for 14 students who completed a one-month Fundamentals of Computer and Microsoft Office course.
The free training was supported by 67 Bn CRPF Shillong under its Civic Action Programme, aimed at students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Commandant Jai Singh, 67 Bn CRPF Shillong, attended as chief guest along with Inspector Ajit Singh, E/67 Bn Nongpoh, and RIAS Director Skhem B. Swett.
Jai Singh congratulated the students and stressed the importance of computer literacy, while Swett said the programme was intended to equip youth with essential tech skills to improve employment prospects.
