Shillong, Apr 3: NEEPCO celebrated its 51st Foundation Day yesterday.
Gurdeep Singh, CMD, presented the project awards to recognise outstanding contributions and achievements.
In his keynote address, the CMD lauded NEEPCO’s journey and its significant contributions to the power sector, particularly in the North East. Describing NEEPCO as the hydro arm of NTPC, he emphasised its strategic importance in strengthening the nation’s renewable energy portfolio.
B Maharana, Director (Finance), delivered the welcome address, highlighting NEEPCO’s journey, achievements and future vision. He expressed immense pride in NEEPCO’s journey of over five decades, highlighting the public sector company’s transformation into a key pillar of India’s energy landscape and acknowledged the unwavering dedication of the workforce in overcoming challenges and driving growth.
The programme also included the inauguration of the ‘Vigilance Bulletin’.
