Shillong, Mar 25: Aimed at enhancing student employability, St. Edmund’s College, Shillong has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Emporium Training and Consultancy from Kolkata.
This partnership is designed to promote skill development, career awareness, and job placement opportunities specifically in the aviation and hospitality sectors.
This collaboration, effective for three years with the possibility of renewal, aims to equip students with relevant industry skills and provide guidance on diverse career options. With a focus on the growing aviation sector, both parties hoped that this initiative will help bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world employment opportunities.
Principal of the college, Br. Sunil Britto represented the institution, while Anirban Mukherjee, the operations manager of Emporium Training, signed on behalf of the consultancy.
Britto expressed optimism, stating that this partnership would significantly benefit students aspiring to pursue careers in aviation and hospitality.
Mukherjee affirmed the commitment to creating career pathways for students who aspire to pursue their careers in the aviation industry.
The agreement will be effective for a period of 3 years, with scope for renewal based on mutual agreement. The collaboration aims to equip students with industry-relevant skills and provide guidance on diverse career options especially within the growing aviation sector.
