Shillong, Mar 25: Anrisha Klein did Meghalaya proud today by securing a bronze medal in the U-20 women’s high jump at the 1st Indoor Athletic Championship in Bhubaneshwar.
The Ri-Bhoi athlete has been training hard over the past three months for her first indoor event, which is a different experience to the outdoor competitions that she is more familiar with.
The Meghalaya Athletics Association congratulated her on her accomplishment, as well as MAA chief coach Daisy Marwein and the other coaches involved in preparing the state’s athletes for next year’s National Games.
The two-day championship concluded today.
Anrisha has won several medals for the state before, such as bronze last year in the U-20 category of the 36th East Zone Junior Athletics Championship 2025, bronze in the U-18 category of the 34th East Zone Athletics Championship 2024 and silver in U-20 category of the 35th East Zone Junior Athletics Championship 2024.
