Shillong, Mar 3: East Khasi Hills police have recovered three stolen motorcycles and arrested two persons suspected of being involved in the thefts.
The recovered motorbikes (ML 05T 7719, ML 05AF 5335 and ML 10D 0839) were found at Mawkynroh, Langlibun on March 2.
The police are investigating the case and have urged citizens to take extra precautions to secure their vehicles.
“Citizens are requested to avoid parking their two-wheelers on the roadside, use wheel locks as an additional safety measure, and install GPS devices as far as possible to get alerts,” said Vivek Syiem, EKH Superintendent of Police, in an advisory circulated on Tuesday.
