Shillong, Dec 21: The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) concluded its pre-Christmas village community programme at Jorbil Field, Greater Killing.
Organised in collaboration with Jorbil Village, the Greater Killing community and the USTM Neighbourhood Mission, the event was graced by World-famous musician Lou Majaw in the presence of USTM Chancellor Mahbubul Hoque.
The programme featured a series of initiatives aimed at recognising merit and extending support at the community level. Bright students were felicitated for academic excellence, while socially active youths and business leaders of Greater Killing were honoured for their contributions to local development. Village headmen were also felicitated in recognition of their leadership and service.
Adding a strong welfare dimension, blankets were distributed to senior citizens, and a free health camp along with digital health card distribution was conducted.
