Shillong, Nov 12: Shyntor Bulia village under Ri-Bhoi District is set to host the Shyntor Festival 2025, a three-day eco-cultural celebration, from December 11-13.
Organised by the Rongjeng Welfare Foundation (RWF) in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong, the festival will showcase the rich traditions of the Khasi community through music, culture, cuisine, and sustainable tourism.
Nestled amidst the tranquil Umsiang and Umsha rivers, Shyntor Bulia village offers a serene escape into rural Meghalaya. The festival will feature sand animation, ventriloquism, storytelling, music, and bonfire jam sessions, as well as an Art Residency Program showcasing local and national artists.
Visitors can engage in handloom and bamboo crafts, weaving, art exhibitions, and cultural exchanges with the community. The festival also promises culinary delights, including homestyle tribal cuisines, live cooking demos, and community feasts featuring local produce.
With eco-friendly accommodations and activities like riverside treks, forest trails, and waterfall visits, Shyntor Festival is a must-visit for culture enthusiasts and explorers.
