Shillong, Nov 2: NEIGRIHMS celebrated the closing ceremony of Special Campaign 5.0. The campaign, which focused on institutionalizing Swachhata and minimising pendency in government offices from October 2 to 31, was held at NEIGRIHMS.
NEIGRIHMS conducted various activities, including a cleaning drive, beautification of offices and campus, review and arrangement of physical files, disposal of old files as per rules, and freeing up space for comprehensive utilisation. Additionally, NEIGRIHMS collaborated with the taxi driver association and police personnel to conduct a cleaning drive at Rural Health Training Centre, Bhoirymbong, Mawadiangdiang police outpost, and outside NEIGRIHMS’s main gate, showcasing community involvement in promoting cleanliness culture.
NEIGRIHMS organised a health awareness program and poster competition for students at Bhanu Bhakta Nepali Proceeding Secondary School, Nongmensong, and a Waste to Art competition for its staff. A free health camp, along with beautification, was organised at the Community Hall, Nongkhyriem, in collaboration with the Seng Kynthei Nongkhyriem.
During the closing ceremony, the Employee of the Month award was distributed to sanitation staff in recognition of their services, along with prizes for the winners of various competitions.
