Shillong, Oct 19: The Department of Sociology at Captain Williamson Sangma State University will organise a one day symposium on the theme ‘Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS): Sustainable Future’ on October 22.
As part of the university’s commitment to advancing research and dialogue on indigenous knowledge, culture and sustainable development, the symposium aims to bring together scholars, researchers and practitioners to explore the role of traditional knowledge in addressing contemporary challenges.
The event will feature eminent resource persons from across the country and a wide range of participants from within Meghalaya, fostering dialogue and collaboration on indigenous perspectives for a sustainable future.
