Shillong, Aug 23: Vidya Bharati, one of India’s largest educational organizations dedicated to values-based education and social transformation, is set to organise the ‘Saptashakti Sangam’ in Meghalaya.
Ahead of the initiative, a one-day workshop was organized by the Meghalaya Shiksha Samiti at Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Vidya Bharati Vidyalaya, Shillong.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Bably Choudhury (National Joint Secretary, Vidya Bharati) and Dr. Milan Rani Jamatia (North East Zonal Convener, Saptashakti Sangam), who shared the detailed framework and objectives of the Sangam.
The initiative will focus on important themes such as Family Enlightenment, Environmental Conservation, Women’s Role in Society, and Social Harmony through discussions and awareness programs.
Vidya Bharati has set a national goal to involve 75 lakh mothers and sisters in this movement. To achieve this, 800 trained speakers from across the country will undergo a special training program in September 2025. These speakers will then reach communities across India, carrying the message of empowerment, awareness, and social unity.
During the session, Lalu was appointed as the Convener of the Meghalaya State Organizing Committee. It was also announced that the Saptashakti Sangam programs will be held across 10 Vidya Bharati schools in Meghalaya.
