There is a saying when there is a will there is also a way and when there is a government that has a foresight coupled with visionary leadership and team work then there is a silver lining on the horizon. The present dispensation under the present Chief Minister has been focused and it continues to strive ahead at a steady pace towards holistic development. From improving and adding modernity at major city points to improving public infrastructure, even paying attention to the functioning of various government departments has been notable. What is appreciative is the collective effort with the office of the Syiem of Hima Mylliem, the Municipal Board, locality headmen and key state government departments in improving major public places like Ïewduh the traditional market of the Shillong and Police Bazaar a famous landmark. When we look at the health sector under the present Health Minister things are gradually improving, even at the delivery system of government programs and schemes there is a gradual change because it is motivation and inspiration that drives the entire workforce to perform or perish. The present government is doing what other past governments under various leaders have not done or tried to implement and this is something quite notable when it comes to comparative politics in the academic sense as well.
