A 70-year old physically challenged woman was allegedly raped in a village in a border village in West Jaiñtia Hills district area following which the accused was arrested, police said today.
The accused a 50-year old man had committed the crime on June 13.
The family has lodged an FIR at the Raliang police out post stating that the accused forcefully entered her home.
The matter was made known to the family through hand gesture as the woman could not walk nor speak.
