Prime Minister Narendra Modi today distributed more than 1 lakh appointment letters to newly inducted recruits via video conferencing, including 48 candidates from Meghalaya.
Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar joined the Rozgar Mela in Shillong wherein he distributed appointment letters to the new recruits following the Prime Minister’s address.
The 48 appointment certificates were handed over to candidates belonging to North Eastern Hill University, North Eastern Police Academy, Employees Provident Fund Organisation, NEEPCO, NEIGRIHMS, and Department of Posts.
Highlighting that the Rozgar Mela is a significant addition to the various initiatives of the central government, Sarkar said that the mission mode recruitment drive is expected to result in the filling up of 10 lakh jobs and it is also expected to lead to the creation of additional employment in private and public sectors.
He underscored the effectiveness of ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’ module and said that the module includes a code of conduct for government servants, workplace ethics and integrity, and government HR policies and rules that will help them to get acclimatized to the policies and transition smoothly into the new roles.
Sarkar also said the government is also a special focus on granting timely promotions to all the officers working in various government organisations. He said promotions are now happening across all departments and with timely promotions at all levels, more vacancies are likely to be created at entry-level posts.
Congratulating the newly recruits he hoped that the new appointees will be involved in building New India with innovative ideas, cutting-edge technology, and public participation.
Natasha Manners who got her appointment in NEIGRIHMS while interacting with the Minister expressed her hope that the region will get more opportunities and assistance from the central government in the days to come.
