Shillong, Sep 17: The Voice of the People Party (VPP) has welcomed the decision to withdraw the teacher’s recruitment notification through Structured Pay Framework (SPF) terming it “partial success of its sustained movement”.
The party said the withdrawal was a positive development for teachers and Meghalaya’s education system.
VPP Spokesperson Airpeace Rani credited its President Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit for leading the issue and acknowledged concerns raised by teachers and organisations.
The party reiterated that protection of sanctioned posts and welfare of teachers must remain paramount, and said it will continue to stand with the teaching community for a “fair, transparent and secure education system.”
