Three youth, who were returning from the village of Chisobibra after completing their Class XII examinations were injured after the bike they were travelling in lost control while negotiating a bend on the NH 44 near Chisobibra, about 10 kms from the district headquarter of Williamnagar in East Garo Hills.
The accident left one in a critical state and was transferred to Tura for medical treatment while two others on the motorcycle received minor injuries. The incident took place at about 3pm yesterday.
The injured have been identified as Renatush Sangma, Drasing G Momin and Lakstion Sangma. They belonged to the village of Rongjeng. The youth had apparently completed their examinations and had come to Chisobibra to have some refreshments.
As per police sources, the motorcycle was speeding due to which the incident took place.
