The bodies of two young adults who had gone missing on September 20 have been found within hours of each other.
Phibankyntiew Sun (18) and Wandonbok Kurbah (20) were last seen at around 5pm in their homes in Marbisu village.
Sun’s body was found by fishermen yesterday and pulled out of the water by the East Khasi Hills Search and Rescue Team (SRT). The SRT then recovered the body of Kurbah from a plunge pool at Weitdem waterfall, located in a forest near Traw village.
After eight hours of searching, the body of Kurbah was spotted at around 3:15pm floating in the water. The SRT recovered it and took it for an autopsy.
Sun’s body was recovered by the SRT on Tuesday afternoon in a gorge in Traw village, which is near Marbisu.
