Two branches of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Ri-Bhoi’s Nongpoh and Umiam will be closed after Covid-19 cases were detected there.
The SBI Nongpoh branch will be closed until May 16 and the Umiam branch until May 12. Those who visited either facility in the last few days should isolate at home for 10 days and monitor their health closely, the Deputy Commissioner said in a notice. If any symptoms – cough, fever, difficulty breathing – develop, the district control room (03638232928) and health helpline (8797520449) should be contacted.
