Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested with 5.1 gram heroin near Thomas Jones College, Jowai, police said today.
Sdangki Myrphet (35) and Wandao Bareh (42), both of Panaliar were arrested yesterday while a police team were patrolling the area.
Both were detained by the patrolling team when they were moving around suspiciously near the college. After questioning and a search, the substance was recovered from their possession along with cash of Rs 31,730.
Police said necessary formalities are being observed for further legal action.
