Approximately 150 personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya’s 193rd Battalion observed World Blood Donor Day at its headquarters in Mawpat here.
Participating in the noble cause, the BSF jawans donated blood at the programme, which was held in collaboration with NEIGRIHMS. Meanwhile, the 181st Battalion held a similar event in association with Tura Civil Hospital.
“The BSF is nowhere behind in making significant contributions towards society,” BSF Inspector General Pradip Kumar was quoted as saying in a press release. “This act can save a precious human life in need.”
