Doctors of Tura Civil Hospital successfully performed a surgery treatment of a large salivary gland neck tumour on a youth, in a significant accomplishment for the hospital.
A youth in his mid 20s from Tikrikilla had a swollen neck for four years. He was successfully operated upon by a team of doctors at the hospital.
Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Inbert C Marak informed that a team of doctors comprising of Dr. Lee Rozer Ch Marak, and Dr. Stevie Jaseng N Sangma successfully removed the 2.8 kg Giant Right Pleomorphic Adenoma.
The doctors were assisted by Dr. Crejithson R Marak, Dr. Binsena R Marak, nurse Drimchira M Marak and other supporting OT staff.
The patient was discharged on June 4, he informed.
