The workshop saw the presentation of sessions by Prof Rao, Prof Kumar and Quendarissa Kharbuli of HRDC, NEHU, who are eminent resource persons in the field of MOOCs.
In his speech, Prof Shukla spoke extensively on the advantages of offering MOOCs for both students and teachers. He said “The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the dynamics of the way the entire world works. Not just academia, it has also affected the way companies, institutes and organisations work. Online teaching has become a part of the daily curriculum and it will change even more in the coming years.”
He also said that research potential has to be built up between institutions by fair redistribution of scarce resources so that in research, a university like NEHU can maintain a steady role in contributing to the economy.
