The Voice of the People Party (VPP) today said that its State Executive Committee “reserves the right to review and/or revoke the candidature of any candidate for the district council election.
VPP spokesperson Batskhem Myrboh said the decision was taken during the meeting of the committee held today. He said if a candidate is found not deserving to be nominated as the official candidate of the party or if a candidate deviates from the principles and direction of the party, the State Executive Committee as advised by the State Election Commission may nominate a fresh candidate for any constituency.
