The Meghalaya Veteran Table Tennis Association will hold the 5th Masters Table Tennis Team Championships 2023 on Saturday to commemorate World Environment Day.
With this year’s theme being to beat plastic pollution, players are being informed to spread the message around the state through various activities.
The day-long veterans table tennis will be held at the Indoor Stadium at the JN Sports Complex in Polo. Players in the 45-plus age group are eligible to compete and the last date for registration is June 16.
Seven teams will compete for the title and these have been named on environmental lines – Swachh Bharat, Save Fuel, Save Trees, Stay Fit, Go Green, Save Water and Save Earth.
