Prof. Vasanthi Vijaykumar, the first Vice-Chancellor of Captain Williamson Sangma State University, paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Meghalaya, C.H. Vijayashankar, at Raj Bhavan today. She was accompanied by Vijay Kumar Mantri, Commissioner and Secretary of the Education Department, and Ambrose Ch. Marak, Secretary of the Education Department.
During the meeting, Vijaykumar apprised the Governor about the progress and future roadmap of Captain Williamson Sangma State University, which is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing higher education in the state. Discussions also focused on initiatives to enhance the quality of education, foster research and innovation, and ensure the holistic development of the university.
The Governor commended the team for their dedication and expressed his hope that the university would emerge as a center of academic excellence, contributing to Meghalaya’s educational and socio-economic development.
