The police have reported various cases of theft in the state last week.
According to police, one Osborn Samuel lodged a complaint that on May 19 at about 2 am, unknown miscreant(s) broke into his residence at Kusimkolgre-A under Williamnagar police station, East Garo Hills and stole his bicycle (gear system).
One Bipul Paul lodged a complaint that on May 18 around 1:30 am, unknown miscreant(s) stole his scooter (ML-08G-8943) from Hawakhana, Tura in West Garo Hills district.
In another case one Jester Gallong lodged a complaint that on May 17, he found that unknown miscreant(s) stole two Battery Banks (containing 22 cells) and BB cables total valued around Rs. 2.9 lakhs from a tower site at Nongtraw village under Umroi PIC Ri-Bhoi.
Meanwhile, one Goera B Marak lodged a complaint that on May 16 around 1 am, his vehicle (AS-01AB-7420) was found missing from the Anogre area in West Garo Hills district.
Moreover, Georgiana G Momin lodged a complaint that on the intervening night of May 14 & 15, unknown miscreant(s) stole one vacuum cleaner and one car wash pressure machine total valued around Rs. 63,000 from her residence at Resubelpara Songma in North Garo Hills district.
Later, the stolen items were recovered from the possession of one Critushwell K Marak and Baitol K Marak (33). Police arrested the accused persons.
