Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Giriraj Singh, paid a visit to the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences at Umiam, Ri-Bhoi, today.
The college is part of the Central Agricultural University in Imphal.

Singh chaired an interactive session with faculty members and scientists of CAU and ICAR-NEH regarding matters pertaining to agriculture and allied sectors and how new frontiers in science can mitigate emerging problems and provide solutions to existing issues for sustainable rural development, a release said.
