A body of an unidentified man was found lying on the road at Ladrymbai bypass in East Jaiñtia Hills district, police said today.
Some passersby spotted the body and alerted police.
The hands of the deceased were tied and police suspects that the person was murdered elsewhere and then dumped at the bypass.
Police has conducted an investigation. The deceased is about 5.5 feet tall with short hair, fair complexion and round face. He was wearing a black pant, light green t-shirt and green underwear.
The body was sent for autopsy to determine the cause of death and is currently at the Khliehriat Civil Hospital morgue.
