The United Democratic Party (UDP) led by party leader Jemino Mawthoh today submitted its eight-point suggestions on the reservation and roster system.
The party leaders met with chairperson of the all party committee on reservation and roster, Ampareen Lyngdoh.
Mawthoh told reporters that they cannot reveal the suggestions made on the request made by Lyngdoh. “We can say our suggestions are non-discriminatory and we have adopted a balanced approach,” he said.
The UDP is for change in the current reservation policy and not for status quo, he added.
According to Mawthoh, the party incorporated the suggestions after they held 14 meetings by engaging experts from all fields.
