Two Meghalaya police officers have been nominated to the Indian Police Service (IPS) by the Government of India.
A notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on August 2 states that MPS officers, Bashanborlang J Laloo and Abraham T Sangma have been nominated to the elite IPS ranks from the Joint Assam and Meghalaya cadre.
The officers will remain on probation for one year as per rule of the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 and the officer will obtain induction training as per rules, the notification said.
