Editor,
The circulation of fake notifications and circulars of the government by some groups or individuals is uncalled for and needs to be dealt with severely in accordance with law.
Creating and circulating false information like that has caused panic, confusion, questions and the credibility of any information now in the coming days will not be taken seriously because of this menace.
Like the notification of the closure of schools and institutions, a fake or forged notification came out which also applied the same to all government offices and institutions.
Secondly, the false and fake circulation of the MBOSE’s HSSLC and SSLC result notification which has become a trend as to every year this happened!
Why is this happening from time to time? Why can’t we put a stop to this nuisance in the interim? It’s high time to apprehend the ugly heads of those people involved in these crimes.
It’s a crime to divulge wrong information to the public and the Indian Penal Code has impregnated to hold someone who is accountable for this heinous crime with severe punishments.
The IT Cell of the State government or the Cyber Crime Branch can easily track who is the perpetrator who first escalated the information which spread out like wildfire.
Also, it’s my suggestion to the government to kindly upload these orders and notifications on their official website so as to enable the public to verify the authenticity of the order issued or circulars whatever it may be, another one is by the use of QR codes to be printed on notifications and orders so that the same can be verified easily with our mobile phones.
This practice of circulation of fake notifications and circulars has to stop once and for all. Period!
