In a bid to restart activities after the long period of Covid-19 restrictions safely, the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has allowed for archery and teer counters to operate in the district for three days a week until further orders.
Archery can take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with a maximum of 30 archers allowed at the ground.
Physical distancing of 2 metres must be maintained at the ground, archers should not share equipment and only a maximum of five bookies shall be permitted to witness the event. All participants are urged to get vaccinated. No spectators will be permitted entry and all activities must end by 4pm.
The teer counters will have to adhere to the shop timing notifications issued by the DC.
Other general Covid-19 protocols will continue to apply for teer counters and the archery ground.
