The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya, in joint operations with state police, seized a large cache of sugar and dry betel nuts along the international border in South Garo Hills.
Acting on specific information, jawans of the 200th Battalion in collaboration with Meghalaya police launched a joint operation, which led to the seizure of 7,050 kilos of sugar and 6,050 kilos that had been stockpiled in an abandoned house near the Rongra area.
The seized items were handed over to the Rongra Police Station for further necessary action.
