The Meghalaya Speed Skating Association held its 2nd Meghalaya Open Speed Skating Championship yesterday at St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School ground, drawing more than 50 participants from various age groups, districts and schools.
The event, held in collaboration with St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School and the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association, showcased the participants’ speed and skill levels, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and promoting the sport in the region.
Suklang Dkhar, the president of the Meghalaya Speed Skating Association and general secretary of the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association, expressed satisfaction with the event’s success and emphasised the commitment to further developing speed skating in Meghalaya.
Winners in each category were honoured with medals and certificates.
