The state-level Children Science Congress will be held on November 8 and 9 at the Shillong College auditorium on the theme, “Understanding Ecosystem for Health & Wellbeing”.
The programme is a country-wide event which aims to provide children in the age group of 10-17 years an opportunity to discover and recognise their scientific temperament and use their knowledge to make their ideas come true. Children are to identify real life issues around them and try to find solutions by applying Science.
The event is being organised by the State Council of Science Technology and Environment (SCSTE) in collaboration with the Science Department of Shillong College as part of Diamond Jubilee celebration of Teaching Science in the college.
DSEL Director Swapnil Tembe will attend the programme as chief guest.
