On account of the Christmas festival, all State government employees and pensioners in Meghalaya will get their salaries and pension by December 22.
It may be mentioned that the Governor has approved as a special case the relaxation of Rule 141 of the Meghalaya Financial Rules, 1981, for the release of pay and allowances to all gazetted and non-gazetted employees including pensioners for the month of December 2022.
In the past too, State government employees and pensioners received their salaries and pensions by December 22 to enable them to celebrate Christmas.
