The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated the result of the Bihar elections whereby the saffron party became the largest member of the ruling National Democratic Alliance. Results of the state elections were released yesterday.
The party also celebrated the results of the by-elections held in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Manipur.
“The victories are a testimony to the good work being done by the BJP government and a validation of the ‘Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas’ motto given by our Prime Minister. The results of Manipur by-polls, where the BJP won all five seats, are especially encouraging,” the BJP said in a press release today.
The BJP did not mention the name of any other party apart from Meghalaya ally, the National People’s Party (NPP), which it fought against in Manipur.
“This win, which was also over regional parties like the NPP, proves that the people of the North East trust the BJP in fighting corruption and for ushering development in the region. It also gives new hope to the people of Meghalaya,” the release, signed only by the ‘Media Department’, said.
