A spate of goals saw Mawlai SC pump 14 past Synroplang 77 in their Group B fixture of the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s League at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
The later match then saw Lumparing SC battle past Maw U-tieng SC for a hard-fought but welcome 2-0 win, also in Group B.
Both Mawlai and Lumparing now have three wins in three games, with the former ahead in the points table thanks to a better goal difference (+25 to +17).
Maw U-tieng, playing their second match of the competition, were looking for a second win but, despite their best efforts, were denied.
