The Achik Dedicated Integrity Leaders (ADIL) Gasuapara regional unit has sought the intervention of South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner to get the Gasupara Makaburipara SSA School renovated.
According to ADIL, students from Nursery to Class V are sharing a single classroom as the existing classroom is in a dilapidated condition, with broken walls and unhygienic surroundings.
The organisation in a statement here said that the current state of the school is alarming, which is not only a deprivation of basic rights of students but also hinders their educational growth.
Urging the DC to enquire if there have been any grants allocated for building construction in the past years and to find out the number of teachers deployed to teach seven classes in one classroom.
