Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has called upon the student community to work with utmost commitment and hard work towards the cause of nation-building.
Speaking at U Tirot Sing Best Student Award felicitation programme organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) here today Sonowal said, the sacrifice of the U Tirot Sing must inspire each and every heart and mind towards the cause of nation-building.
“The Yuva Shakti is the Maha Shakti that can transform a nation to become successful, strong and sustainable. Empowered by these ideals, all of us can work together to realise the vision of our dynamic leader Shri Narendra Modi ji to make India the third largest economy by 2030,” he said, adding that the people can work together to transform North East into the new engine of economic growth.
The award ceremony was aimed to boost and motivate the students for academic excellence since 2016 in the name of the great freedom fighter of Meghalaya, U Tirot Sing.
State Minister of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Alexander Laloo Hek, Dr Kestonbel Manik Syiemlieh, Deputy Syiem of Hima Nongkhlaw also graced the occasion.
